You need to be able to recognise the Arabic letters and sound out a word slowly. Hady begins at the first Madinah Book lesson, which assumes that much, and teaches everything after it: grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and pronunciation. If you cannot read the letters yet, learn those first. It usually takes a week or two, then Hady picks you up from there.

You record a short clip when you tap the microphone, and Hady gives you word level feedback on what you said and exactly what to correct. The recording is only used for that attempt.

Most apps test recognition: you pick the right answer from a list of options. Hady asks you to produce Arabic and then marks what you produced. You type full answers, or write them on paper and photograph them, or read them aloud, and you get a specific correction rather than a score. It also follows a real curriculum from beginning to end instead of a stream of unconnected phrases.

Not in a spoken dialect. Hady teaches Modern Standard and classical Arabic, which is the Arabic of the Quran, of classical books and of formal writing across the Arab world. If your goal is chatting in Egyptian or Levantine dialect, a dialect course is the better fit.

Work through one structured curriculum to the end rather than sampling many, and produce the language rather than only recognising it: write the answers, say them out loud, and have them corrected. Review vocabulary on a schedule so it stays. That is the method Hady is built around, using the Madinah Books.

With steady daily practice, most learners can read simple Quranic sentences with understanding within a few months, and work through the three Madinah Books over one to two years. Consistency matters far more than session length: twenty minutes a day beats three hours on a Saturday.
